Modular Use of the Uniquely Small Ring A of Mersacidin Generates the Smallest Ribosomally Produced Lanthipeptide

Abstract: Mersacidin is an antimicrobial class II lanthipeptide. Lanthipeptides are a class of ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs), characterized by intramolecular lanthionine rings.
