Abstract:The
rational design of electrocatalysts for formate oxidation reaction
(FOR) in alkaline media is crucial to promote the practical applications
of direct formate fuel cells (DFFCs). The FOR kinetic on palladium
(Pd) based electrocatalysts is strongly hindered by unfavorably adsorbed
hydrogen (Had) as the major intermediate species blocking
the active sites. Herein, we report a strategy of modulating the interfacial
water network of dual-site Pd/FeO
x
/C catalyst
to significantly enhance the desorption kinetics… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
