Abstract:We analyze the modulation characteristics of the uncooled terahertz (THz) and infrared (IR) detectors using the variation of the density and effective temperature of the two-dimensional electronhole plasma in uniform graphene layers (GLs) and perforated graphene layers (PGLs) due to the absorption of THz and IR radiation. The performance of the photodetectors (both the GLphotoresistor and the PGL-based barrier photodiodes) are compared. Their characteristics are also compared with the GL reverse-biased photodi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
