Moisture condition of building materials in different operating conditions

Abstract: -The definition of the concepts of theoretical and operating moisture of building materials is given in the paper. The estimated moisture is determined. To determine operating moisture, the analysis methods are used. The issues with the estimated moisture based on field studies are presented. Methods of calculating moisture of building materials by sorption isotherm are proposed. Literature and regulations on the use of mathematical methods for calculating moisture conditions are described in the article. Link… Show more

“…The building's thermal protection design involves the determination and purpose of the calculated indicators of humidity and thermal conductivity for the building materials in the operating conditions of A or B structures [4]. The value of the calculated humidity directly affects the main indicator for thermo technical calculations -the value of the estimated thermal conductivity of the building material [4].…”

The value of the calculated humidity directly affects the main indicator for thermo technical calculations -the value of the estimated thermal conductivity of the building material [4]. On the other hand, the calculated thermal conductivity is significantly influenced by the presence of some components in the material -pollutants in the form of dust and gases that come from atmospheric air [5,6] and soil, including the hygroscopic inorganic salts common in the environment used in industrial and economic human activities [7,8,9].…”
