Abstract:Background Mosquito-borne diseases are main problems of public health worldwide, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. Mosquitoes can transmit human filariasis, arboviruses, malaria, and dirofilariasis. It has been recently found that Anopheles gambiae is a vector of Rickettsia felis.
