Abstract:Rotavirus is classified within the family Reoviridae, subfamily Sedoreovirinae, and the genus Rotavirus. This genus encompasses eight groups, denoted as species A to H, with Group A holding particular significance due to its widespread prevalence among both human and animal populations.
