Molecular characterization of gonadotropin subunits (fshβ, lhβ and cgα) of largemouth bass (
micropterus salmoides
) and their expression in response to luteinizing hormone‐releasing hormone analogue and dopamine antagonists
Abstract:Gonadotropins (GtHs), including follicle‐stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), are important hormones involved in gametogenesis, gonadal steroidogenesis, and maturation. In this study, GtH subunits (FSHβ, LHβ and CGα) of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) were cloned and characterized, and their regulation by luteinizing hormone‐releasing hormone analog (LHRHa2) and dopamine antagonist (DOM) treatment in vivo was investigated. The full‐length cDNA sequences of FSHβ, LHβ, and CGα were 683… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
