Abstract:Background: Carbapenem-resistant clinical isolates are extending rapidly, and in past recent years, carbapenem resistance has become an important health problem worldwide. This study aimed to investigate the carbapenem-resistance genes in extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) producing K. pneumoniae isolates.
