Abstract:Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) bacterium in poultry causes respiratory disease with reduced body weight, and lowered hatchability. The disease has higher incidence in turkey species, rapidly developing antibiotic resistance, and difficulties in its diagnosis lead to higher economic losses, drug costs, misdiagnosis.
