Abstract:Poultry immunoglobulin genes undergo diversification through homologous recombination (HR) and somatic hypermutation (SHM). Most animals share a similar system in immunoglobulin diversification, with the rare exception that human and murine immunoglobulin genes diversify through V(D)J recombination.
