Molecular profile of specific IgE to allergenic components in allergic adults using allergen nano‐bead array

Abstract: Background An increasing interest in the field of molecular diagnosis of allergy has been developed in recent years and it goes to be as the routine in vitro protocol in allergy diagnosis. friendly allergen nano‐bead array (FABER) is a new multiplex assay for the evaluation of specific IgE against 244 allergens including whole extracts and allergenic molecules. The research intended to assess the pattern of IgE sensitization to allergenic components of allergens in allergic adults using FABER 244. Methods Sixt… Show more

“…The Task Force recently published The Molecular Allergology User's Guide 2.0, which provides comprehensive guidance on CRD for clinicians, scientists and interested readers [54 ▪▪ ]. Technological developments in molecular diagnostics have led to products in which sIgE responses to hundreds of allergen components from large number of different sources can be measured simultaneously using multiplex-based specific IgE antibody assays [55,56] (reviewed in [57 ▪ ,58 ▪ ]).…”

“…Pollen from weeds, in particular from the plant families of Asteraceae, Amaranthaceae, Plantaginaceae, Urticaceae , and Euphorbiaceae , represents an important allergen source worldwide ( 1 ). In particular, the family of Amaranthaceae comprising three major genera, Chenopodium, Amaranthus , and Salsola , is considered to be highly relevant in Middle Asia, southern Europe, western United States, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iran ( 2 – 5 ). Russian thistle, also termed saltwort ( Salsola kali ), is a widely distributed weed and was discovered as an important allergenic plant in the United States already in 1933 ( 6 ).…”
