Abstract: Wall teichoic acids (WTA) from the major Gram-positive foodborne pathogenListeria monocytogenesare peptidoglycan-associated glycopolymers decorated by monosaccharides that, while not essential for bacterial growth, are required for bacterial virulence and resistance.
