Abstract:Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have received significant attention as a new family of nanoporous materials in the last decade. Variations in geometry, size, and chemical functionality of these materials have led to several thousands of different MOF structures. MOFs typically have high porosities, large surface areas, and reasonable thermal and mechanical stabilities. These properties make them ideal adsorbents for adsorption-based gas separations. It is not practically possible to test the adsorptionbased ga… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
