Various natural resource utilization activities on the coast of Gerupuk Bay can potentially affect the quality of the aquatic environment, both biotic and abiotic, one of which is mollusc biodiversity. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the existence of Mollusca biodiversity and water quality and substrate in Gerupuk Bay. This study used a quantitative descriptive method of determining stations using the purposive sampling method based on differences in community activities at each station. Sampling was conducted at three stations, including Mollusca samples and water quality measurements: salinity, pH, temperature, and substrate. Molluscs in Gerupuk Bay found 55 species of Mollusks representing three classes, namely the Gastropoda class, with as many as 44 species incorporated in 22 Families; the Bivalve class, as many as ten species contained in 6 Families; and the Scaphopoda class, with as many as one types incorporated in 1 Family. The composition of Mollusca classes found on the Gerupuk Bay Coast is Gastropoda class at 62%, Bivalve class at 35%, and Scaphopoda class at as much as 3%. Mollusca diversity is calculated using the Shannon-Wienner diversity index (H'). The diversity index results ranged from 2.890-1.998, with moderate categories at all stations. Bioindicators of water quality using the diversity index show that stations I and III categorize the Gerupuk Bay area as lightly polluted. In contrast, at station II, it is moderately polluted.

Krisis ekosistem memberi dampak signifikan bagi nelayan Pulau Tunda. Nelayan Pulau Tunda harus menempuh proses adaptasi untuk dapat bertahan di tengah kondisi ini. Peralihan mata pencaharian menjadi salah satu tujuan adaptasi. Namun proses adaptasi tidak akan dapat dilalui tanpa kolaborasi dengan pihak lain, terutama pihak pemerintah. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses kolaborasi antara nelayan Pulau Tunda dengan pihak pemerintah serta tahapan collaborative governance yang berjalan diantara mereka. Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan observasi mendalam untuk mengidentifikasi jawaban yang berada dalam pengaturan sosial tertentu. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan proses Collaborative Governance mampu diwujudkan tidak hanya dari pihak pemerintah kepada masyarakat, tetapi dapat diwujudkan oleh masyarakat itu sendiri dan kemudian berkembang dengan kolaborasi-kolaborasi lainnya. Proses kolaborasi di Pulau Tunda menjadi salah satu contoh bagaimana masyarakat menentukan jalannya kolaborasi hingga siapa yang akan menjadi pihak kolabolator mereka. Kekuasaan pada kolaborasi di Pulau Tunda bukan berada di tangan pemerintah, melainkan pada keputusan kolektif masyarakat. Title: Marine Ecosystem Crisis: Collaboration and Adaptation of Tunda Island FishersThe ecosystem crisis has significant implications for the fishermen of Tunda Island. In order to endure these conditions, the fishermen of Tunda Island must undergo an adaptation process. The transition of livelihoods becomes a primary objective of this adaptation. However, the adaptation process can only be successfully navigated with collaboration with external entities, particularly governmental bodies. This paper aims to analyze the collaborative process between the fishermen of Tunda Island and the government, along with the stages of collaborative governance that transpire between them. The analysis is conducted qualitatively, employing in-depth observation to identify responses within specific social frameworks. The findings of this research indicate that the Collaborative Governance process can be realized from the government to the community and initiated by the community itself, subsequently evolving through various collaborations. The collaborative process in Tunda Island exemplifies how communities determine the course of collaboration and decide who will be their collaborators. In Tunda Island, the authority in collaboration does not lie in the hands of the government but rather in the collective decisions of the community.

This research aimed to determine the integration of indigenous knowledge and Islamic values in the Majalengka community in utilizing invertebrates and to explore the practice of indigenous knowledge in utilizing invertebrates, especially snails (Achatina fulica) and Javanese grasshopper (Valanga nigricornis) in the health and food sector. This research was conducted in Sukaraja village, Jatiwangi, Majalengka district. This research was used a qualitative approach method of direct observation. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study, then the data were analyzed descriptively. The results show that indigenous knowledge based on Islamic values implemented by the Majalengka indigenous community could increase community empowerment in various fields, namely health, economics, and social. The people of Majalengka use the snail (Achatina fulica) as a natural medicine for toothaches and the wound healing. While the Javanese grasshopper (Valanga nigricornis) as a traditional food of the community is believed to have a lot of protein content which is very good for the human body, especially for the growth of children. Further studies need to be conducted regarding the use of animals by the community based on sustainable conservation and further studies have to also be done to analyze of the presence of any bioactive compounds in invertebrate species used in traditional medicine in the research area.
