Monitoring pesticide residues in greenhouse tomato by combining acetonitrile-based extraction with dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction followed by gas-chromatography–mass spectrometry

“…Although the comparison of studies with different sampling may be inaccurate, comparing the results obtained in this study with those found in tomato samples in other countries, we observed that pesticide residues in positive samples of tomatoes marketed in Brazil show higher values than in Portugal where 24 of the 30 pesticides under study were not detected in any of the 20 sample analyzed (Melo et al, 2012). In a study conducted in Turkey, pesticide residues were below the LOD in tomato samples (Sungur & Tunur, 2012), and in Spain, QuEChERS method has been applied to 59 real samples in different kinds of fruits and vegetables, including tomato.…”
