Monitoring the Como Railway Bridge based on dynamic FBG sensor system

Abstract: A FBG-based dynamic strain sensor system, whose responding frequency and resolution can be high as 16Hz and ~1µε respectively, is described and the system is applied to monitor the dynamic strain of Como Railway Bridge in Australia. The results of one-month long measurement show that the system can figure out all dynamic strain caused by passed trains and also prove the stability of the sensor system.
