The present state of the art, accomplishments, and prospects of kinetic catalytic methods for determination of rare platinum group metals are considered. Indicator reactions and methods based on them suggested during the last 20 years are reviewed; their metrological characteristics are presented. Results of investiga tion of catalytic activity of different forms of platinum group metals in solution are described. The peculiarities of con ducting of a number of catalytic indicator reactions in flow and test systems are considered.
