Monte Carlo Based Design of Photonic Processes in Azopolymers

Abstract: Monte Carlo kinetics of diffraction efficiency evolution in a process of a pulsed diffraction grating inscription in a model system consisting of a polymer doped with azo-dye is presented. A comparison between simulations and degenerate two-wave mixing (DTWM) experiment is given. A good qualitative agreement of those results supports the concept of Monte Carlo based analysis and design of temperature-dependent photonic processes in azopolymers.
