Abstract:A stochastic Lagrangian model of motion of falling particles in a locally isotropic incompressible turbulent flow is implemented. A detailed description of the model in the case of convective boundary layer is given. A series of calculations are carried out to find different statistical characteristics (such as the mean center of the cloud, dispersion around the center, the mean concentration in a layer, etc.) for different particle's sizes.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
