Similar findings were reported during the COVID-19 period that frequent depressive symptoms and worry were higher in young adults ( Barros et al, 2020 ), adolescents aged 12–15 years ( Cohen Arazi et al, 2022 ), and adults with Down syndrome ( Hartley et al, 2022 ). However, compared to the above populations, medical staff are the most emotionally depleted group ( Glebocka, 2017 ), so interventions to maintain good mood and promote positive emotions are needed, especially when they have to face complex and high-risk work situations.…”
