The article considers the psychological and pedagogical conditions necessary for the formation of the value-semantic sphere of students technical specialties. The article is devoted to the theoretical aspects of the value-semantic approach in modern education. The problem is considered through the prism of concepts that consider the valuesemantic sphere, the problem of meaning, factors and conditions that affect the process of forming meaning-life and value orientations in youth. The degree of formation of the value-semantic sphere affects the quality of life, self-determination, and overall satisfaction with life. Various approaches to the formation of meaning-life and value orientations are considered.

The article discusses methods and ethno-pedagogical approachesinKazakh customs, traditions, rituals of creative work, pedagogical competitions where students get the opportunity to demonstrate theoretical knowledge, erudition, and originality of thinking. This is a comprehensive monitoring study to show the experiences of teaching students ethno-pedagogical and other pedagogical approaches for forming a civil and patriotic worldview among students and preserving ethno-cultural traditions. Dialectical principles were used as the methodological basis of the study, making it possible to identify the main characteristics of the studied phenomena and processes in their interconnection for determining the trends in their formation and development. The results of the study shows the pedagogical potential of the ethno-cultural traditions of the Kazakh people is determined in its value -semantic aspect in the patriotic education of university students, taking into account modern socio-cultural conditions, traditions of the Kazakh people. The article is devoted to the issues of forming ecological consciousness of foreign students of technical universities at the classes on Russian as a foreign language. The article gives definition of ecological consciousness; methods of formation of competence of a future engineer as a specialist, who is aware of the necessity to observe ecological principles in his work, are studied. The statistics of student polls on environmental problems is given. Reading texts on environmental topics, preparation of monologic statement on the theme “Environmental problems of our time”, holding a discussion club, preparation of scientific reports on environmental issues, participation in an imitation role-playing game, participation in events of the university, devoted to environmental protection, help to realize the importance of the problem and the need to solve it in the professional activity of a technicalspecialist.
