“…Our findings provide practical implications for prevention and intervention efforts to improve adolescents' sleep by reducing their exposure to stressors and reducing their depressive symptoms through increasing emotional regulation ability. First of all, interventions to reduce adolescents' exposure to chronic and severe life stressors should be prioritized (Huang et al, 2018; Rew et al, 2014). Additionally, psychoeducation of introducing and instructing emotional regulation skills (e.g., distraction and cognitive reappraisal; Bernstein et al, 2021) as well as psychological counseling using different therapies (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy and art therapy; Dewald‐Kaufmann et al, 2019; Gruber & Oepen, 2018) have been found to be effective to promote emotional regulation ability among adolescents with depressive symptoms and sleep problems.…”
