Abstract:Aim: The present study aims to assess the taxonomical identification of commercially important freshwater crab, Barytelphusa cunicularis from Kumba River, Kanniyakumari using morphological and molecular tools. Methodology: Samples of B. cunicularis were collected from Kumba River flowing in Kilamalai, Kanniyakumari district.
