Morphological Characteristics of the Inner Medullary Zone in the Kidneys of Brattleboro and Wistar Rats during Blockade of Prostaglandin Synthesis

Abstract: Morphological characteristics of the inner medullary zone in the kidneys in Brattleboro and Wistar rats were studied during blockade of prostaglandin synthesis. The absence of a diuretic effect of prostaglandins on the kidneys was accompanied by structural changes in the transepithelial and interstitial barriers for an osmotic flow of water.
