“…The medullary cavity was completely divided into two separate parts by the entire radiopaque septum. These findings are agreed upon (Dyce et al., 2010; Getty, 1975; Hifny et al., 1995), in contact with those observed in both Egyptian Baladi and Zebu bulls (El Sharaby et al., 2021) and also in the buffalo (El‐Shafey & Kassab, 2013). However, in cattle, large metacarpal bones result from the fusion of the third and fourth metacarpal bones.…”

“…Our results agree with those of the camel foot (Al‐Redah & Hussin, 2016; Smuts & Bezuidenhout, 1987), but it is disagreed with (Allouch & Alshanbari, 2022) in the dromedary camel, which observed that the metacarpal bone was four in number, two large third (III) and fourth (IV) metacarpal bones, which were quadrilateral in form, compressed from side to side, and two small fused second (II) and five (V) metacarpal bones, which were represented by two ridges on either side of the palmar surface of the large metacarpal bone. However, in cattle, the large metacarpal resulted from the fusion between the third (III) and fourth (IV) metacarpal bones, and there were lateral small metacarpal bones (Dyce et al., 2010) in cattle and (El Sharaby et al., 2021) in the Zebu bull ( Bos Taurus indicus ) and Egyptian Baladi bull ( Bos Taurus Taurus ).…”
