Abstract:Unionicola sp. is a parasitic aquatic mite known to infect freshwater aquatic organisms, especially the malacofauna species and few species of sponges. Unionicola chelata (Acari: Hydrachnida: Unionicolidae) generally infect the freshwater bivalves of the Genus Unio sp.
