Abstract: Introducción: Raramente se considera a las demencias como causa principal de muerte, por consiguiente existen pocos estudios sobre la mortalidad por Alzheimer a través de largos periodos. Objetivo: Describir la mortalidad por enfermedad de Alzheimer en México durante el periodo 1980-2014. Método: Estudio transversal en el que, con datos oficiales de mortalidad en México según los códigos 331.0 y G30
