“…21 This decrease in hospitalization rates for CbVD may be positive, since the results have shown a decreasing trend in mortality by CbVD between 1980 and 2012 in Brazil (-48.05%) and in the South region (-55.49%), 22 and high rates in the macro-regional health of Maringá (23.3 per 10,000 deaths) in relation to the other regions in the state of Paraná in 2007. 23 Similarly to CbVD, hospitalizations for SAH decreased during the study period, with similar average rates and decline speed.
