The fresh and rheological properties of alkali mortars activated by blast furnace slag (BFS) were investigated. Consistency tests, squeeze flow, dropping ball, mass density in the hardened state, incorporated air, and water retention were performed. Mortars were produced with the ratio 1:2:0.45 (binder:sand:water), using not only ordinary Portland cement for control but also BFS, varying the sodium content of the activated alkali mortars from 2.5 to 15%. The results obtained permitted understanding that mortars containing 2.5 to 7.5% sodium present a rheological behavior similar to cementitious mortars by the Bingham model. In turn, the activated alkali mortars containing 10 to 15% sodium showed a very significant change in the properties of dynamic viscosity, which is associated with a change in the type of model, starting to behave similar to the Herschel–Bulkley model. Evaluating the properties of incorporated air and water retention, it appears that mortars containing 12.5% and 15% sodium do not have compatible properties, which is related to the occupation of sodium ions in the interstices of the material. Thus, it is concluded that the techniques used were consistent in the rheological characterization of activated alkali mortars.

Photocatalytic mortar with TiO2 leads to a reduction in air pollution due to vehicle emissions. For this purpose, the experimental method was used, which consisted of the preparation of mortars with the same proportion of 1: 4, a strength of 145 kg / cm2 and with different percentages of titanium dioxide (0% and 10%), which were evaluated under the same conditions through the following tests: Quantity of polluting gases, compressive strength and photocatalytic capacity. The results obtained—reduction of carbon dioxide by 97.9%, hydrogen sulfide by 72.9%, sulfur dioxide by 67.2%, nitrogen monoxide by 63.4%, carbon monoxide by 40.5% and oxygen recovery by 7.7%—confirmed the performance of the photocatalytic process through titanium dioxide (TiO2) in terms of an improvement in air quality, and the reduction of colorants, rhodamine by 89.10% and methylene blue 53.06% confirmed its self-cleaning capacity, thus improving the reduction of air pollution.

In the provinces of the region, empirical constructions reached maximum points with these practices. The effects and pathologies appear as physical, chemical and mechanical failures in pillars, walls and roofs, generating uncertainty for the user. The current powerful design can detect the interior deterioration of coatings in adobe, brick and concrete constructions, and prevent collapses, material and economic losses. Experimental methods performed affirm the serious validity. The accuracy of the simulation and design provide a pre-test reliability of 95%. Five piles constructed of various materials participate in the prototype performance test, there is a correlation (R=0.9997) between the magnetic field range "B" (cm) and density "ρ" (g/cm³), also by increasing the current (i) in transit Q1 and coil L1, the induction of the "B" increases proportionally until penetrating the density of the wall of the building, having 5% reading error.
