Show more

“…Moreover, several norm-referenced tests use a Likert type scale for classification that differentiates PF and MC, for instance, as follows: very poor (X < P10); poor (P10 ≤ X < P25); medium (P25 ≤ X < P75); good (P75 ≤ X < P90); and very good (X ≥ P95) [75,81]. The MoMo test and the GMT are appropriate examples that provide indications of a child's health status based on normative data and percentiles ( [15], (pp. 129-153 [32]), [34][35][36]).…”

“…Further, deficient PA, PF and MC are considered contributors to the increasing number of obese children and adolescents [14]. In turn, the positive impact of PF and MC on health in children and youth is attached with rising importance and is being intensively treated in pediatrics [8,15]. Monitoring PF and MC through motor testing becomes essential for determining developmental status, identifying health-related risks, developing recommendations based on motor test results and achieving specific levels of PF and MC [14,[16][17][18][19][20][21].…”

“…The importance of movement and motor performance for the lifelong health maintenance can be justifi ed both from the perspective of the risk factors model ("lack of exercise as an important risk factor") and from the perspective of requirement-resourceapproaches ("physical activity and motor performance as a health resource") [ 5 ] . In order to observe the development and performance status of children and adolescents, the diagnosis of motor performance is essential [ 22 ] . The abundance and diversity of international work on motor performance of healthy children and adolescents is barely manageable.…”
