“…As such, this essay is situated in the framework of participatory philosophy (Ferrer, 2002(Ferrer, , 2008(Ferrer, , 2017Ferrer & Sherman, 2008;Hartelius, 2019;Hartelius & Ferrer, 2013;Tarnas, 1991), which can be distinguished by, though not reduced to, two major features: (a) an ontology of open naturalism (Ferrer, 2002;Stroud, 2004) and (b) an enactive-participatory epistemology (Ferrer, 2002(Ferrer, , 2017. First, in contrast to a metaphysic of absolute separation, open naturalism is metaphysically pluralistic (Alderman, 2012) and recognizes the inescapability of presuppositional metaphysical postulates (Harman, 1991;Schneider & House, 2020;Taylor, 2017aTaylor, , 2017bWalach, 2019;Watts, 1966Watts, /1989.
