MP3: Medical Software for Processing Multi-Parametric Images Pipelines

Abstract: This article presents an open source software able to convert, display, and process medical images. It differentiates itself from the existing software by its ability to design complex processing pipelines and to wisely execute them on a large databases. An MP3 pipeline can contain unlimited homemade or ready-made processes and can be carried out with a parallel execution system. As a viewer, MP3 allows display of up to four images together and to draw Regions Of Interest (ROI). Two applications showing the st… Show more

“…Quantitative parameter maps were computed pixel‐by‐pixel using previously published methods 26‐28 and the Medical software for Processing multi‐Parametric images Pipelines tool (https://github.com/nifm-gin/MP3) in the MATLAB environment (MathWorks) 29 . Data processing is outlined in , Section 1.3.…”

“…The code is available via the open GitHub platform. One can mention here the recent work of Brossard et al ( 2020 ) who introduce a package to design pipelines and obtain multiparametric MRI maps that was extensively evaluated at the preclinical level. The papers from Groeneboom et al and Yates et al propose software for analyzing histological rodent brain images.…”
