MR-Tomographie bei lymphatischen und leukämischen Knochenmarkinfiltrationen

Abstract: MR is the only noninvasive procedure that can demonstrate changes in the medullary space. If it is combined with bone marrow scintigraphy and conventional x-ray film diagnostics, it can yield a comprehensive diagnosis of bone marrow infiltrations in the regions of the pelvis, thighs and lumbar vertebral column in leukaemia or malignant lymphomas. The T1 relaxation times of the malignant infiltrations are enhanced compared with normal fatty marrow. MR tomography of the bone marrow is particularly suitable for d… Show more

Diffusely reduced TcNCAA bone marrow uptake and multiple larger marrow defects in advanced multiple myeloma rect evidence of spread of "infiltrated tissue" (Dewes et al 1987). Sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV of radiocolloid marrow scanning in malignant lymphomas (according to Linden et al 1989, modified) 8.…”

In patients with myeloproliferative disorders including chronic myelogeneous leukemia and polycythemia vera, the extent of marrow infiltration in the appendicular skeleton correlates with the spleen size, which is a parameter indicative of disease extent [87,88].…”
