Mri and Cardiac Pacemakers: Current Status

Abstract: Purpose. Until recently, an implanted pacemaker was an absolute contraindication to MRI, regardless of the field of study. Patients with pacemakers couldn’t undergo MRI and get the diagnostic information. In recent years, new types of implantable devices that are compatible with MRI have been developed and introduced into clinical practice.
