Mucinous Carcinoma of The Breast ( 8 Cases)

Abstract

SUMMARY Özden VURAL Salim GÜNGÖRIn this study, 8 cases of mucinous carcinomas (2.6 %), which are found in overall 301 marnmary carcinoma cases were examined. Five tiımors were of the pure type and three were mİxed. All had abundant neutral and acidic mucin. Of the five pure mucinous tumors, three were devoid of argyrophilic granules. The other two pure mucinous tumors were rich in argyrophilic granules. The pure type (20 %) showed less frequent nodal involvement than in the mixed type (66.6 %) (Key words: Breast Carcinoma, Mucin.Argyrophilic Granule.) ÖZETBu çalı~mada 301 meme karsinomu olgusu içinde saptanan sekiz müsinöz karsinom(% 2.6) incelendi. Be~ tümör saf, üç tümör bile~ik tiptedir. Bütün tümörler bol nötral ve asidik müsin içermektedir. Be~ saf müsinöz karsmornun üçünde argirofilik granül yoktur. Diğer iki saf müsinöz tümör argirofilik granüllerden zengindi. Saf müsinöz karsinamlarda (% 20), bile~ik müsinöz karsinomlardan (% 66.6) daha az lenf nodülü tutulumu görüldü.
