“…ABMS has been applied to many domains, including biological systems, 19,20 several branches of the social sciences, 21–23 management systems, 24,25 economic systems, 26 physiological systems, 27,28 ecological systems, 29,30 and animal societies. 10 The CVS has been computationally simulated in numerous studies, which rely on control theory, 31 electrical circuit models, 32–34 biomechanical techniques, 35 and physical and mathematical calculations.…”

“…The literature includes only a few studies of the CVS in which ABMS is used. Among the studies that do rely on ABMS is one by Al-Jaafreh and Al-Jumaily, 27 who estimated the cardiovascular parameters using a multiagent system (MAS) based on combining two independent methods: pulse wave velocity (PWV) and heart rate and artery resistance. Utilizing multi-agent cooperation decreases the error percentage and improves the accuracy of the cardiovascular parameters.…”

“…Various modeling techniques of different disciplines are used to explain dynamics of CVS, such as blood pressure, blood flow, blood flow velocity, blood volume, etc. Behavior of CVS is tried to be modeled by techniques, such as fluid mechanics (Olufsen, 2001), electrical circuit model (Westerhof et al, 2009;Fazeli and Hahn, 2012;Kokalari et al, 2013), computer based modeling (Bora et al, 2017;Al-Jaafreh et al, 2005), control theory (Wu et al, 2005), mathematical and numerical modeling (Quarteroni et al, 2002).…”
