Abstract:Spread spectrum multiple-access packetized wireless communications systems are considered. Although very efficient in low traffic (or low-rate) and low signal-to-noise ratio scenarios, the traditional and well-known spread ALOHA multiple access (SAMA) quickly collapses when both traffic and signal power increase. In certain situations, such as wireless sensor network traffic towards a sink, this severely limits the system data collection rates. Multi-packet reception (MPR), on the other hand, offers significan… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
