Multi-Criteria Model for Questions Selection in Generating e-Education Tests Involving Gamification

Abstract: In traditional and e-learning the tests play an important role to track the learners’ progress. In this regard, the paper deals with the generation of test with different levels of complexity directly associated with particular evaluation. An algorithm for the generation of tests with different levels of complexity using multi-criteria optimization is proposed. It is important to note that all test items could be considered as an element of a level in an educational game or gamified environment, and their weig… Show more

“…Soboleva continues her research and highlights the gamification principles the implementation of which is necessary to achieve the desired educational and cognitive effect in accordance with digital economy challenges (Soboleva, Perevozchikova, 2019). D. Borissova, D. Keremedchiev, and G. Tuparov claim that working with the program and its interface contributes to the formation of users' communication abilities (Borissova et al, 2020). This confirms the theories that modern man's digital literacy necessarily includes a communicative component (Gruzdev et al, 2018).…”

“…Analyzing approaches to the development of computational thinking by means of digital technologies, we noted three main areas of research: the definition of computational thinking as a cognitive thought process (Kholodnaya, Gelfman, 2016); a hybrid of other ways of thinking (Klunnikova, 2019); the use of information processing tools for modeling processes studied in other disciplines (Borissova et al, 2020). As mentioned above, E.K.…”

“…В работе J. C. Paiva, J. P. Leal, R. Queirós убедительно доказано, что деятельность по программированию поддерживает развитие аналитических способностей [20]. D. Borissova, D. Keremedchiev, G. Tuparov изучают формирование коммуникативных способностей через взаимодействие с интерфейсом программы [21]. Важность умения критически оценивать полученный результат и работать в условиях неопределённости будущего обоснована в исследовании F. Hotyat [22].…”

“…There is also an integrated framework that except the necessary course materials including corresponding tests and exercises provides an integrated environment where learners could test the written programming codes [6]. It should be mention that the latest approaches in interactive learning involve gamification too [7].…”
