Multi-market optimization of industrial flexibility: market comparison and field test results

Abstract: Most industrial customers use electricity tariffs with static prices until now and therefore cannot benefit from volatile prices at the short term markets for electrical energy. In this paper the relevant short term markets applicable for demand response and three resulting trading strategies will be presented. In a case study, these strategies will be applied to three real industrial customers and their processes.
