Multi-objective optimal operation with demand management and voltage stability

Abstract: Due to the electric power liberalization, many power producers are entering into the deregulated power market. Most of the electrical power companies are introducing Renewable Energy Sources (RES), which will increase the power system uncertainty. Consequently, the underlyng uncertainty imposed by RES will increase the likelihood of voltage instability and voltage collapse. Also, fluctuations in supply and demand are increased by the introduction of renewable energies. On the other hand, Demand Response Progra… Show more

“…In this case, the interconnection of electric receivers by functional feature is not taken into account, which usually corresponds to household consumers. In [8][9][10], a model of an active consumer is presented with minimum cost electricity consumption based on the assignment of planned load schedules with their own profitability coefficients and taking into account changes in the cost of electricity during the billing period if there is own generation. Many works are also associated with determining the optimal electric consumption schedule for the minimum cost for MicroGrid [11][12], for the group of heterogeneous consumers in general [13], as well as for minimizing the shape factor of the load graph [14].…”

“…The former cares more about the economic operation in the steady-state condition, while the latter focuses on the secure and stable operation of the power system in the dynamic condition. Both problems have been extensively studied but in a separate way [15,16].…”

“…To ensure the voltage stability, static voltage constraints, and dynamic constraints are proposed in various references. The most common static voltage constraints are the bus voltage constraints in (8) that limit the bus voltage with high and low boundaries [16,40,73]- [75].…”
