The effective definition of public intervention goals and resource allocation for natural resource management requires decision makers to understand the monetary values of the full range of goods and services provided by landscapes, in other words, their Total Economic Value (TEV). Aesthetic enjoyment (AE) can be considered as part of such TEV of landscapes. For the estimation of the economic value of AE in Albufera Natural Park (Valencia, Spain), this paper applies the Analytic Multicriteria Valuation Method (AMUVAM). It is a combination of two established techniques: analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and discount cash flow (DCF). The economic value of non-market benefits under AMU-VAM is obtained indirectly, by comparing the relative degrees of importance attached to the different components of TEV. In this way, not only does it estimate a monetary value of AE but also its importance relative to TEV. Results express that AE represents 7% of the TEV in Albufera Natural Park and 24% of the EV in Albufera Natural Park (€176 million). Results reveal distinct patterns in the valuation of TEV and existence value (EV). In this way, together with the average, a range of values which show the different sensitivities of society is provided. The comparison of the TEV obtained for Albufera Natural Park with previous studies conducted on wetlands suggests its similarity in scale.

Posteriormente, estos pesos han sido luego atribuidos a una Evaluación Proporcional Compleja (COPRAS -Complex Proportional Assessment) para seleccionar la mejor opción entre seis alternativas disponibles. Los resultados muestran que los tubos circulares fabricados con láminas de metal expandido y celdas individuales con orientación α=0º presentan características favorables para absorber energía de forma controlada y estable, así como eficientes parámetros de diseño estructural. La metodología de análisis multi-criterio constituye una valiosa herramienta en los procesos de toma de decisiones para la selección de dispositivos empleados en aplicaciones de absorción de energía.PALABRAS CLAVE: Tubos circulares; láminas de metal expandido; proceso de jerarquía analítica; evaluación proporcional compleja; absorción de energía. ABSTRACTA multi-criteria analysis has been developed to evaluate the energy absorption of round tubes made with expanded metal sheets and solid sheets. Throughout an AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) the assignation of the weight to different load parameter and impact resistance were given. Thereafter, these weights were then attributed to the COPRAS method (Complex Proportional Assessment) to select the best alternative among the available options. The results show that the circular tubes made with deployed metal sheets and individual cells with orientation α=0º present favorable characteristics to absorb energy in a controlled and stable way as well as efficient structural design parameters. Multi-criteria analysis methodology is a valuable support for decision making processes to the selection of devices used in energy absorbing applications.

Abstract-When software systems evolve, different amounts and types of code modifications can be involved in different versions. These factors can affect the costs and benefits of regression testing techniques in different ways, and thus, there may be no single regression testing technique that is the most cost-effective technique to use on every version. To date, many regression testing techniques have been proposed, but no research has been done on the problem of helping practitioners systematically choose appropriate techniques on new versions as systems evolve. To address this problem, we propose adaptive regression testing (ART) strategies that attempt to identify the regression testing techniques that will be the most cost-effective for each regression testing session considering organization's situations and testing environment. To assess our approach, we conducted an experiment focusing on test case prioritization techniques. Our results show that prioritization techniques selected by our approach can be more cost-effective than those used by the control approaches.
