“…Data exchange in hybrid simulations was done using the University of Toronto Simulation Framework (UT-SIM), which is a generalized framework for distributed multiplatform simulations through network communications between numerical/experimental substructures. [30][31][32] The communication between the integration module and the MTS actuator controller was established by using the middleware program Network Interface for Controllers (NICON), which is a program written in LabVIEW script. Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog cards, along with a National Instrument hardware 33 were also used to transform digital commands from the numerical model to analog voltage for the actuators and vise versa.…”
