Abstract:White-light emission with a single activator is an attractive function of phosphors. In this work, we investigated the photoluminescence properties of Ca 5.7 Y 1.3 Si 7 O 16.7 N 3.3 , which is a compound denoted as Ca 4+x Y 3−x Si 7 O 15+x N 5−x discovered by our group, with Ce-activation using optical measurements and density functional theory (DFT) calculation.
