Abstract:Gnidia glauca (Fresen.) Gilg has demonstrated significant anticancer potential through multiple mechanisms, including apoptosis induction, as shown by the TUNEL assay against MCF-7 cells, modulation of tubulin polymerization, preservation of mitochondrial function indicated by the JC-1 assay, and inhibition of DNA polymerase α and β activities. Rationale for the present study is to investigate the potential anticancer properties of G. glauca leaf alkaloid extract. Fresh and healthy G. glauca leaves were cleane… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
