Multifocal superficial thrombophlebitis of the extremities in HIV infection

Abstract: Long-term observations indicate an increased risk of developing venous thromboembolic conditions in people with the human immunodeficiency virus, their tendency to relapse or a widespread nature. In addition, the incidence of thrombosis increases several times in HIV-infected people compared to the average rates characteristic of people of the same age. A clinical case of multiple bilateral lesions of the subcutaneous veins of the upper and lower extremities in a young patient with HIV infection is presented. … Show more
