Multifunctional Polymer Coatings of Fusible Interlinings for Sewing Products

Abstract: The aim of the study was to improve the range of adhesive interlining materials for clothes to add to the product a complex of improved consumer (shape stability, wear resistance) and special (protective, health-improving) properties. We have found that the modification of the adhesive coating of interlining materials with oligoacrylates provides a transition from the traditional discrete 2D glue interlayers between the bonded materials formation to the highly branched 3D structures of the interfacial layer of… Show more

“…For example, it is recommended to take into account data of dispersed phase particle size distribution when making reinforced composites with a graftcopolymer adhesive introduced into the pores of a textile substrate or when using functional nanodispersed fillers. [80][81][82][83][84][85] When modifying biopolymer and fibrous materials, the state of enzymatic preparations must be characterized based on the size distribution of the relative number of particles. 33,46,[86][87][88] The number of particles in these processes depends on the number of simultaneous catalytic events involving protein catalyst globules.…”

“…PET film as a packaging material does not fully fulfill the requirement of the oxygen barrier property [27,28]. Polymeric coating, which is characterized by a simple operation, low cost [29,30], diverse functionality [31,32], and benign adhesion [33], is promising for the functionalization of PET film. Currently, two types of polymer coatings have been mainly studied to promote the barrier capability of PET films: crystalline polymers and amorphous polymers [34,35].…”

“…Petrova and co-authors, in the article "Development of multifunctional coating of textile materials using silver microencapsulated compositions", apply a well-known layer-by-layer method [4]. N. Kornilova and co-authors, in the article "Multifunctional polymer coatings of fusible interlinings for sewing products", use a popular method of dipping to obtain coatings [5]. The article "Properties of polypropylene yarns with a polytetrafluoroethylene coating containing stabilized magnetite particles" by N. Prorokova and S. Vavilova develops a new method of forming coatings based on the application of a coating-forming composition on the surface of a semi-cured thermoplastic filament at the stage of its melt spinning followed by orientational stretching [6].…”
