Abstract:In the past few decades, optical transport networks (OTNs) have undergone significant evolution, from the earliest wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) OTNs to elastic optical networks (EONs) and later to space-division multiplexing (SDM) OTNs, to address the continuous growth of Internet traffic.
