Multilocus sequence typing of Giardia duodenalis genotypes circulating in humans in a major metropolitan area

Abstract: Giardia duodenalis is an intestinal protozoan parasite of humans and animal hosts and comprises eight microscopically indistinguishable molecularly-diverse lineages designated as assemblages A–H.
