MULTIMOORA as the instrument to evaluate the technology transfer process in higher education institutions

Abstract: This paper is presenting the model to assess the technology transfer (TT) process economic performance of universities. The main indicators were identified and empirical research with MULTIMOORA tool was performed on 7 Lithuanian state-funded universities. The data was gathered from the Research Council of Lithuania official public report for the period of [2012-2014]. The research results show that MULTIMOORA tool fits to evaluate the TT process economic performance of HEIs. The proposed model is applicable t… Show more

“…The research results reflect that using the MULTIMOORA multi-criteria evaluation tool makes it possible to systematize information and draw impartial conclusions about the directions of management of renewable energy sources in EU countries. As reported by Jelena Stankevičien ė et al [44], "The complexity increases with increasing choices of alternatives and features, therefore MULTIMOORA is useful in selecting the best alternatives." The use of the MULTIMOORA method by researchers in the study of renewable energy problems is increasing (e.g., [42,43,79,80]).…”

“…Additionally, as indicated by research-for example, Hafezalkotob et al [42] and Ijadi Maghsoodi et al [43]-the MULTIMOORA multicriteria evaluation tool is objective and makes it possible to systematize information and draw impartial conclusions about different phenomena. Since the complexity increases with the increasing choices of alternatives and features, MULTIMOORA is useful for selecting the best alternatives [44].…”

“…In comparison with AHP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, PROMETHEE, LINMAP, and ELECTRE, the MULTIMOORA approach has more superiority, easy mathematical expressions, less computation time, and strong robustness [17]. Due to its unique advantages over other MCDM methods, the classical MULTIMOORA method has been employed for various MCDM concerns [80,94]. Further, to tackle uncertain information arises in MCDM problems, several extensions of MULTIMOORA have been introduced under diverse uncertain environments (see Table 1).…”

“…Fruitful business partnering should currently be addressed in the higher education system as a basic focal point. Stankevičienė et al (2019) evaluate university technology transfer comprehensively. In addition to entrepreneurial success, Carattoli (2017) analysed the social ties, actors and other specific aspects of Argentinian universities.…”
