Multiple criteria choice modeling using the grounds of T‐spherical fuzzy REGIME analysis

Abstract: In an uncertain context of T‐spherical fuzzy (T‐SF) sets, the purpose of this study is to propound an efficacious multiple criteria choice model, named a T‐SF REGIME method, predicated on a dominance analysis and a prioritization analysis. The REGIME methodology is a well‐founded evaluation technique suitable for multiple criteria choice analysis owing to it has good applicability to the processing of qualitative information and to complex scenarios. Unlike the existing REGIME techniques, this paper takes adva… Show more

“…However, the decision analytic procedure would be accompanied by a lot of uncertainties due to ignorance, indeterminateness, or, in any case, lack of information (Donyatalab et al 2022 ; Erdoğan 2022 ; Naeem et al 2022 ; Zhou and Chen 2022 ). These uncertainties not only hinder an effectual process of multiple criteria analysis but also have an unfavorable impact on the resolution outcomes and decision-making quality (Chen 2022d ; Tsao and Chen 2022 ; Wang and Chen 2021 ). In case of problem-solving involving intricate uncertainties, decision-makers need to employ a productive and formidable framework to model indistinct and equivocal information closely related to their decision-making process, which significantly impacts the decision quality and creates the decision value in realistic situations (Akram et al 2022 ; Oztaysi et al 2022 ; Yuan et al 2021 ).…”

“…The most recent advancement in fuzzy settings, the frame of T-SF sets, uses four facets (consisting of membership grades of positivity, neutrality, negativity, and refusal) to elucidate complex uncertainties, obviate information loss, and anticipate the full manifestation of vague and ambiguous information (Chen 2022a , 2022c ). The key benefits of T-SF sets are their generality and versatility (Chen 2022b ; 2022d ; Ozceylan et al 2022 ). In particular, the main advantages of the T-SF framework can be concretized by a generalization of some existing higher-order fuzzy sets.…”

“…As a result, several high-order fuzzy sets, such as uncertain sets involving intuitionistic, Pythagorean, q-rung orthopair, picture, spherical, and T-spherical fuzziness, have been successively advanced to appropriately manifest human subjective uncertainties in practice (Chen, 2022a(Chen, , 2022bLiu et al, 2021c). In particular, the idea of T-spherical fuzzy (T-SF) sets, incipiently presented by Mahmood et al (2019), can help bring the theoretical development and revolutionary implications according to its strengths of broadening the uncertain space via four parameters of impreciseness, thus composing favourable, neutral (so-called abstinence), unfavourable, and refusal evaluations (Alsalem et al, 2021;Chen, 2022c;Wang and Zhang, 2022;Yang and Pang, 2022).…”

“…In summary, SFSs improve the accuracy of information depictions in decision-making problems and lay a solid foundation for subsequent information fusion and analysis. Based on the above advantages in information depictions, SFSs have been utilized to address a series of intelligent decision issues in recent years [22][23][24][25][26]. In addition, most of existing studies on SFSs are under complete ISs, whereas IISs are common in real life; thus, this paper is aimed at building MG SF IISs for handling missing information.…”
